The elegant body painted in bright enamels with a narrative scene depicting an official in a horse-drawn carriage riding between two pavilions with ladies standing on each balcony waving and throwing peaches, the reverse with a mountainous landscape, the neck with a riverscape with a scholar on a bridge and a fisherman in a boat, all divided by a band at the shoulder with flower-head medallions reserved on a diaper ground, the rim and foot further decorated with a classic- scroll band, the base painted in underglaze-blue with an acanthus leaf within a double circle--17¼in. (44cm.)high
