A FINE LARGE DOUCAI JARDINIERE
QIANLONG SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

The deep rounded sides finely painted with five Mughal-style lotus medallions, interspersed by elaborate interlaced ruyi-heads and feathery foliage between variously coloured petal-shaped panels encircling the foot and ruyi-heads and interlocked quatrefoils enclosing chrysanthemum and lotus flower-heads below the rim, the nianhao within a countersunk disc--13in. (33cm.) diam., box
