Of rectangular shape lacquered in gold hiramaki-e, togidashi, kirigane, nashiji and inlaid in mother-of-pearl, aogai, colored ivory and horn with two pheasants on the bank of a stream beneath a red maple tree, the reverse a continuation of the scene with a flowering chrysanthemum bush and a sparrow in flight, interior cases nashiji; fitted with a silver bead ojime cast with a butterfly caught in a gilded spider's web, inscribed Masayuki, and an ivory manju netsuke, the reticulated silver plate cast with peony blooms--3 7/8in.
