The small rectangular set of shelves set on four bracket feet, with four tiers of staggered shelves, containing one drawer and three compartments enclosed by sliding, hinged, and removable drawers, respectively, decorated with sparrows and Mandarin ducks amidst flowers and plants of the four seasons in gold and silver takamaki-e, hiramaki-e, kirigane and inlaid aogai and coral on a nashiji ground, the cabinet frame and raised rims of the doors and top tray-shaped shelf decorated in hirame, fundame rims, the interiors, back and base of the cabinet nashiji--7 1/8 x 3 x 5¼in. (8.2 x 7.6 x 13.3cm.)
