The rectangular two-tiered box and cover with removable footed tray, decorated on the exterior with bird and flower medallions in two colors of gold takamaki-e on a kinji ground sprinkled faintly with nashiji, the interior tray designed in identical technique with a pair of cranes flying amongst clouds, interiors and base of tray and box nashiji, fitted with silver rims--3¾ x 3 1/8 x 3¼in. (9.6 x 7.8 x 8.2cm.)
