Rectangular, designed in gold and silver and black hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and togidashi with a thatched pavilion, pines, flowering grasses, chrysanthemums and maidenflowers on a gold shore which is set in relief to a gold river with short gold ripples, a large rock in gold and silver takamaki-e and inlaid with a nugget of mother-of-pearl in the foreground, the sky area gold leaf over cloth and covered by a thin layer of clear lacquer, framed and glazed--13 3/8 x 20 1/8in.
