The rectangular lacquered top constructed of a mortise-and-tenon hardwood frame enclosing a floating hardwood plank and supported on a bamboo armature comprising two rectangular box-frames, each with four legs joined by a trellis panel with a centered shou medallion between fretwork panels, joined at the base by a single leg-encircling stretcher, the wide front apron under the top centered by a shou medallion flanked by four diagonal-lattice-patterned fretwork panels, the wide, rear trellised apron bound with rattan lashings to the bamboo structure
