Six of the facets carved in shallow relief with a raised band of archaistic scroll design, the scrolls of the two longer facets formed by the dissolved bodies of two dragons and a phoenix, this motif repeated in the dragon-head and scrolling phoenix handle projecting from one end while a chilong forms a handle at the other, raised on a shallow pedestal foot, the semi-translucent stone with some slight pale brown mottling
