A SILVER AND ENAMELLED BOX SET WITH MOTHER-OF-PEARL AND PEARLS
Maker's mark of Elizabeth Copeland, Boston, 1903-1937, marked EC under base, no date
Rectangular, the sides twice with pearl-headed wirework stem rising from cloisonné enamelled blue and green triple frond, each flanked by similar "flower", the hinged cover front with hinged hasp and swivel "lock", the cover center with rectangular plaque with oval cabochon mother-of-pearl, surrounded by four pearls divided by wirework, with cloisonné enamelled band of green and white stylized foliage on mottled blue, green and purple ground, further enhanced by beads, and bordered by wirework--4½in. long, 4in. wide and 2in. high (11.4, 10.1 and 5cm. respectively)
