Maker's mark of Elizabeth Copeland, Boston, circa 1912, marked EC 1912 under base
Rectangular, each side inset with cloisonné vari-colored enamel plaque of stylized blossom, foliage and geometric motifs on mottled purple and green ground, further enhanced with enamelled beads, the hinged cover with central rising diamond form conforming plaque, flanked by four of triangular form, all bordered by silver wire-work and beads--6in. (15.2cm.) long, 5in. (12.7cm.) deep
