Of rectangular shape resting on four gilded bun feet, the cover inlaid in silver with a large, stylized character medallion within bands of florets, fretwork and scroll, the sides of the cover inlaid with a band of key frets, the long sides of the box inlaid with two auspicious character reserves and the short sides inlaid with a single auspicious character reserve all within borders matching those on the lid--5¾ x 4 1/8 x 3 7/8in. (14.5 x 10.5 x 9.7cm.)
