EARHART, AMELIA, Aviator. Autograph letter signed ("A.E.") to Lloyd Royer, [West Medford, Massachusetts, 12 November 1925]. 1¾ pages, 4to, in pencil, with original stamped and postmarked envelope.
"GIVE ME TWO OR THREE EXAMPLES OF THE PROPORTIONAL WEIGHT OF WINGS, MOTOR, FUSELAGE, AND LANDING GEAR TO THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF A PLANE..."
A good letter to a friend in the aeronautics field: "Even tho I told you not to hurry about attending to the attachment business I expected a reply... Not that I am worrying over my little affairs, but over you. I am sure if things had been going well with you, you would have answered my letter sooner. Or are you just working very hard? Please don't over do....I asked about Remlin's route east...Also, give me two or three examples of the proportional weight of wings, motor, fuselage, and landing gear to the total weight of a plane. Just approximately I mean. I have an idea. I received notice from the storage company. They will sell my little motor and chassis for the bill I owe...unless I can pay, unfortunately I can't...I hate to appear as a dead beat. Please write me. The questions are not so important as to know you are all right..."
