In the Adam style, the part-fluted vase-shaped body with beaded borders and ivory loop handle, the hinged domed cover with ivory finial, marked on body and cover -- 12 in. high; together with a silver-mounted ebonised wood plinth applied with a coat-of-arms, London, 1887, maker's mark of Charles Stuart Harris -- 7¾ in. square (19.7 cm.)
