A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER CANDLESTICKS, Birmingham, 1803, maker's mark of Matthew Boulton, each with tapering cylindrical fluted knopped stem, resting on raised molded circular base, rising to campana-form partly fluted socket and detachable circular wax-pan, the base and wax-pan engraved with crest an script initials WM, and with finely dentilated band to base, shoulder and wax-pan--marked on base and nozzle, weighted, 12in. (30.4cm.) high
