Folio, 340 x 211 mm., contemporary vellum, worn with joints torn and spine chipped, text block nearly detached from binding, lower gutter margin patched (covering small portion of lower left corner of title-border), fore-margin of title shaved close (crossing border slightly), some light browning and spotting, occasional showthrough from coloring, some marginal stains.
Second Camerarius edition. Title printed in red and black within historiated woodcut border, several hundred woodcuts in text, printer's device at end, ALL FINELY COLORED IN A CONTEMPORARY HAND. The quality of the coloring suggests the colorist was well-versed in botany, employing a varied palette to model the floral, leaf, and fruit details with the utmost care.
