A LARGE SILVER EWER, New York, maker's mark of Charter, Cann & Dunn, circa 1855, retailed by Hood & Toby, inverted pear-shaped, on short-stemmed raised shaped circular foot, all chased with matted grapeleaves to the engraved scrolling vine, also chased with grapeclusters, with applied vine to foot, rusticated handle, shoulder and rim, the front engraved with script name Coleman--14½in. (36.8cm.) high, 27.5oz.
