A SILVER EWER, maker's mark of Bailey & Co., Philadelphia, circa mid 18th Century, ovoid, on raised circular foot, the foot and shoulder flat chased with acanthus band, and applied greek key band, similarly chased under the tongue and bellflower rimmed spout, the front engraved with hound and initials within chased and engraved flowering foliate surround, with part acanthus and flower decorated scroll handle--15½in. (39.3cm.) high, 38.5oz.
