A LONG EVENING DRESS OF CREAM SILK CHIFFON, BY CATHERINE WALKER
The bodice is hourglass-shaped with long sleeves. It is embroidered with a vermicelli design of simulated pearls and white paste. The Tudor-inspired neckline is trimmed with stranded simulated pearls. The back neckline is closed with a simulated pearl trimmed strap. The scalloped hem of the bodice reveals a flowing skirt of chiffon over two petticoats, one of cream silk, the other of white silk. This dress was worn by the Princess at a reception at Buckingham Palace in 1990.
