A WILLIAM AND MARY WALNUT MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK
The panelled plinth with later skirt and bun feet, now inlaid with panels of leafy trefoil scrolls and grotesque mask, similarly inlaid trunk door with glazed lenticle, formerly rising flat top hood with twist columns supporting moulded cornice and pierced frieze, square dial signed John Wise Londini fecit, silvered chapter ring enclosing winding holes and date aperture in the matted center, scroll and cherub spandrels, the two-train movement with six ringed pillars, renewed anchor escapement striking the hours by means of countwheel planted on a backplate, c. 1685 with alterations--80½in. (204.5cm.) high
