The moulded square case raised on four paw feet each chased with winged mask, the sides each inset with silver panel finely engraved with flowers and vines, winged putti at the angles with swags between, the indirectly wound extensively altered hour striking movement also signed Martin Cäppelin perfecit now with pin pallet lever escapement, retaining some backplate furniture, striking hammer, and detent, fusee and barrels, some portion of the trains and bell, later dial -- 6in. (1.5cm.) high
