Worked in red, green, blue, white, yellow threads on a linen grang inscribed with a pious verse "fools despise wisdom and instruction, Remember thy creator in the days of thy youth...Fear God and keep his commandments..." over a large triple floral motif atop small animals and two peacocks, dated 1819--17 x 12¼ in.
