A VICTORIAN SILVER CLARET JUG, London, 1867, maker's mark of apparently that of Udney William Walker (maker's mark worn), tear drop form, on raised scalloped rimmed circular base, the mid section chased with panels of oval engraved with varying flowers on finely reeded ground, enclosed by engraved shell within foliate scrolls, each divided by slender flute, one oval vacant, with rusticated grapevine handle and joins, the partly raised hinged cover covering spout and topped by leaf finial--14½in. (36.8cm.) high, 26.5oz.
