Of octagonal section and set on a high, octagonal foot, the censer decorated in gold hiramaki-e and gold foil on a bright nashiji ground with scattered fans, four open and one closed, designed with waves, autumn grasses, and geometric or foliate patterns, the base roiro with sparse nashiji, lined in copper and mounted at the neck in gilt-copper, fitted with a silver basketweave cover
