(20th century), impressed mark on base [shimaoka tatsuzo (b. 1919)]
Of ovoid form with tapered, cylindrical neck ending in a wider, flared mouth, decorated with three roundels enclosed impressed leaf or grass sprays and with a surrounding ground of impressed braid, all coated with white slip, numerous patches of brown scorching, ring foot unglazed
