The deep, rounded body carved in high relief and pierced with peony blossoms and buds borne on the leafy stems which form the dense ground, with a pair of large peony sprig handles, the whole raised on a spreading pedestal foot carved with foliate scroll, the stone of pale greenish-white tone with some brown and opaque white mottling
