Qianlong Carved Four-Character Mark Within a Square and of the Period
The ovoid jar decorated with peony, chrysanthemum, orchid and begonia sprouting from a band of blue rockwork encircling the base, the leaves and stems in green and the flowers in dark red, pink, blue and amber, below a green ruyi collar on the shoulder, with a large blue peony blossom on the cover above a multi-colored ruyi band, all cut through the various layers of color to the opaque white ground
