Born in Tokyo, Nakano Jun graduated from the Kawabata Painting School in 1945. In 1947 he became a member of the "Free Artists Association" under whose auspices he frequently showed his work. In 1957 Nakano won an award from the Moscow International Art Exhibit. He has had more than twenty one person exhibitions in Tokyo and in the Kansai area.
