A GOTO SCHOOL KOZUKA
EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1800), SIGNED GOTO MITSUYOSHI WITH KAO

Both the plate and the frame are solid gold. The plate is carved in high relief with two dragons in the sea before Mt. Fuji, which rises in the distance. The back of the frame has a yasurime surface. There are very slight dents--length 9.7cm., thickness 6.5mm.

Double wood storage boxes. Inner box with inscription by Sato Kanzan, dated autumn, 1974.

Accompanied by a tokubetsu kicho certificate issued by the N.B.T.H.K., no. 173, dated April 15th, 1971.
