A SILVER-INLAID IRON BRAZIER
CHOSON PERIOD (19TH CENTURY)
Of hexagonal form with bulging sides raised on a hexagonal bracket base and cast with a short hexagonal neck and wide, flat hexagonal rim, inlaid in silver on each side panel with a large longevity character within a narrow fret border, reserved on a ground of latticework within a further fret border, the bracket supports inlaid with a stylized lotus and coiling tendrils within a fret border, the flat rim inlaid with lotus reserved on a diaper ground within fret borders- 6 1/2 in. (16.7 cm.) high
