Modelled in the form of a folding screen, decorated on the cover in gold and colored takamaki-e with two figures leading a horse, Mt. Fuji in the background rising above clouds, the left panel of the screen 'folded' to reveal the reverse side of chidori and waves, the sides decorated with flowers and mist and the interior nashiji, fitted with an interior tray lacquered with two pheasants and pines on a gold and nashiji ground, silver mounted- 4 3/4 x 3 3/4 x 2 1/8 in. (12.1 x 9.2. x 5.4 cm.), lid cracks
