Baluster, on spreading circular base, repousse and chased, on each side, with a scroll and rocaille cartouche enclosing a coat-of-arms and crest and the initial H, joined by a band of elaborate scrolling flowers, the rim with similar foliate decoration, the scroll spout and handle engraved with similar flowers, the hinged domed cover chased with a similar band and surmounted by a thistle finial, marked--11 1/4in. high
