Worked in colors and depicting a coronation in Rome, the kneeling emperor wearing his ermine-lined cape and receiving a sceptre and crown attended by elders bearing Pax Romana (law book with :"Lex Roma Novum" ledgible) within classical architecture (Pantheon in center) within an elaborate border woven with fruiting garlands, exotic birds (parrots) and flowering cartouches (guard borders intact on lower and right selvage but ? )-11ft. x 16½ft (3m. 36cm. x 4m. 89cm.)
