EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1800)
The polished copper plate is inlaid with flush shakudo in a vine pattern with three sedge hats, one in the center in gold and a silver and shakudo one on each side. The reverse is carved in brush-stroke style (katakiribori) with flowers by a stream and two silver inlaid butterflies. Surface rubbed--length 10.0cm., width 1.4cm., thickness 5.0mm.
