EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1700), GOLD SEAL
The thick iron plate is carved in the round as a dragon, depicted head to tail, around the seppa-dai area. It is carved in detail with scales, legs and body parts in three dimensional form. The eyes and seal are in gold--height 7.4cm., width 7.2cm., thickness at center 6.0mm., at edge 9.0mm.
