A SMALL CARVED YAOZHOU CONICAL BOWL
SONG DYNASTY

The interior carved with full-face blossoms alternating with blossoms in profile borne on a leafy meandering vine surrounding a central flowerhead, below a plain band, the exterior carved with petals radiating from the small knife-cut foot to a line border below the everted rim, all under a bubble-suffused glaze of olive tone--4 3/8 in. (11cm.) diam.
