The center molded with a dragon leaping amidst scrolling foliate clouds, surrounded by a band of further foliate scroll and a keyfret border in the steep, flared well, covered inside and out with a transparent ivory-colored glaze, with a protective metal rim--5 5/8 in. (14.3cm.) diam.

Compare two slightly larger dishes molded with similar style dragons also surrounded by foliate scroll and key pattern bands, one from the Seligman Collection, illustrated by Wirgin, Song Ceramics Designs, pl. 87b and another in Zhongguo Taoci Quanji, Dingyao, Shanghai, 1981, no. 118
