A YELLOW-GROUND BLUE AND WHITE DRAGON BOWL
KANGXI MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD
Painted on the exterior in underglaze blue with a pair of striding five-clawed dragons divided by ruyi-trees superimposed with quatrefoil panels enclosing the characters shou and fu, amidst a ground of fire scrolls and above a band of overlapping petals encircling the base, all reserved against a ground of even egg-yolk yellow tone, the foot and rim with double line borders, the interior with yellow and blue dragon roundel at the center--5 1/4 in. (13.4cm.) diam.
