A RARE GILT-DECORATED GLAZED FIGURE OF A LUOHAN
QIANLONG MOLDED SEAL MARK
Shown seated with a leaf-form fan resting on his right knee, his left hand resting on his raised left knee while holding a gnarled staff, wearing loose robes decorated with an allover design of shou characters interspersed with bats, cash and blossoms, his sandals placed on the edge of the cloth draped over the rockwork base, with, long pierced earlobes flanking a face molded with prominent features and trailing eyebrows glazed in black, all in gilding and a blue-speckled turquoise glaze on a cafe-au-lait ground, the nianhao also highlighted in gilding, some restoration and repairs--15 5/8 in. (39.6cm.) high
