Ferguson, poet, scholar, and President of the Royal Irish Academy, was an early leader in the Irish Renaissance; he was a good friend of Allingham's. Scott, like Allingham, was a Pre-Raphaelite associate; his A Poet's Harvest Home is dedicated to D.G. Rossetti. (3)
