AN INLAID CELADON CUP AND STAND
KORYO DYNASTY (12TH CENTURY)
The deep petal form cup set on a fluted, flared base and inlaid in white and black slip on the exterior of every other lobe with a flower spray alternating with an incised flower on the adjacent lobe, the cup stand modelled with a raised, lotiform cup support in the center surrounded by a recessed well from which radiates the foliate rim, the center of the raised cup support incised with a lotus bud and the recessed well incised with three fish, the foliate rim inlaid in white and black slip with six chrysanthemum florets, both the cup and stand glazed with a highly glossed light green celadon glaze with extensive crackle- 2 3/8 in.
