The large and long rectangular document box with rounded corners decorated in gold, silver and black takamaki-e with cranes and reeds and two cranes flying above, the roiro-nuri ground sprinkled randomly with nashiji and kimpun, the clouds and hillock with kirigane details, the interior roiro-nuri dusted lavishly with nashiji and with patterns of mura-nashiji, the rims fundame, silver ring fittings- 23 x 6 1/4 x 4 in. (58.3 x 15.9 x 10.2 cm.), corner chips and cracks, one long corner crack
