The large, shallow dish painted in gilt and enamels of light green, pink, lavender, yellow and pale blue with a scene of ladies in an autumn garden, hills and a waterfall in the distance, the scene surrounded by an irregular, brocade border and gilt diaper band, the underside covered with a cream crackle glaze; the deep bowl with petal rim painted in the interior with a large central roundel of figures on or near a garden veranda within a wide border of cobalt blue and gilt of dianthus scroll and brocade, the exterior painted with a matching blue and gilt ground surrounding medallions of samurai or ladies- 9 7/8 in. (25 cm.) and 7 3/8 in. (18.7 cm.) diameters (2)
