A GEORGE III SILVER TEAPOT ON STAND, London, 1790, maker's mark B M pellet between, probably for Benjamin Mordecai or Mountigue, each navette shaped, the teapot chased with vertical rib at intervals, centering two sides shaped rectangular vacant cartouche within bright cut geometric surround, with bright cut floral and foliage, finely reeded, borders, straight spout, wood scroll handle, the partly raised flat topped hinged cover with geometric wrigglework and bright cut border, all topped by stained ivory pineapple finial--6½in. (16.5cm.) high, the stand on four pierced tapering feet, with conforming cartouche and border--7¼in. (18.4cm.) long, gross weight 17oz.
