4° (201 x 139 mm). Collation: a-z & \\n \\a A-G8 H4. 268 leaves, H4 blank. Roman type, Giunta's small woodcut device on title, initial spaces with guide letters. (Fol. D4 torn and repaired affecting 3 words on verso, marginal tears or holes to 3 leaves, fols. B1 through D3 with patched wormhole in upper gutter margins, occasional marginal dampstaining, affecting text at end.) 19th-century vellum over pasteboard.

Provenance: Peter de Rizo, inscription in Italian on final blank dated 12 May 1522; a few marginal pointing fingers and marks, childish doodles and signature, "Gulia", on title-page; Carolus Scavella, 18th or 19th-century ownership inscription on front flyleaf.

Second edition of this geographical treatise in terza rima by the fourteenth-century poet Fazio degli Uberti, first printed in 1474. The poet embarks on an imaginary tour of the known continents with Solinus as guide; books II and II are devoted to lyrical descriptions of many towns and regions of Italy.
