A WATERCOLOR AND INK DECORATED BIRTH AND BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE
SIGNED FRANCIS PORTZLINE, 1771 - 1857, SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, C. 1840
The rectangular form centering a yellow and red heart inscribed with the birth and baptismal information of Mary Meiser, born to David and Mary (Shadel) Meiser, of Greenwood Township, Junieta (sic) County, Pennsylvania, on 18 February 1839, and baptised by Parson Sibert, the whole decorated above by stylized leaves, flowers, birds perched on scrolling floral vines, birds perched on a single tree, and a young woman in green dress holding a wreath with a bird perched upon it, signed below--15¾ x 11¾in.
