In two registers: the top with red and green fraktur-schriften alphabet above the stylized and decorated name Johannes Uhrich and the date 1840 above a second ink inscribed alphabet; the lower register comprising a promisory note from James Kingdom to John Uhrich in the amount of $1,000 and dated 13 February 1841--11¾ x 8½in.
