A PRINTED, WATERCOLOR AND GILT DECORATED GEBURTS UND TAUFSCHEIN
ATTRIBUTED TO THE HANOVERTOWN ARTIST, ACTIVE CIRCA 1784 - 1787, YORK COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA AND FREDERICK COUNTY, MARYLAND, CIRCA 1787.

The central fraktur-schriften inscription relating the information of the birth and baptism of Catherine Mayer, born 29 July 1787 in Frederick County, Maryland above an inscribed blessing, the whole flanked by a standing Adam and Eve, with meandering flowers and winged angels holding a scroll with inscribed information as to the baptism--7½ x 11½in.
