A WATERCOLOR AND INK DECORATED BIRTH AND BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE
REVEREND HENRY YOUNG, 1792-1861, SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, DATED 1825 AND 1847

Centering a young couple in profile, facing each other holding hands, the man giving flowers to his wife, with a heart supported stand in between and text above, with the inscription, "Mr. John Stetler, a Son of Mr. Daniel Stetler and his wife, Susannah, born a Stroub, was born April the 5th 1825 in Penn's Township, Union County, Pennsylvania and baptised July 4th 1825 by the Reverend J. Smith. The sponsors were Mr. Henry Smith and his wife (Sarah)" all above the line inscription below, "Mr. John Stetler, got confirmed A.D. 1847 by the Rev'd H. Fisher, a German Reformed Minister."--10 3/4 x 7 1/2in.
