Sugata: with shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune and chu-kissaki; nagasa: 2 shaku, 1 sun, 1.5 bu (64.1 cm.); sori: 0.8 cm. Jihada: finely laminated masame. Hamon: gonome with broad ashi and pronounced sunagashi along the entire length of the hamon. Boshi: midare-komi. Nakago keitai: suriage and with a dry, brown patina; yasurime: katte-sagari (older); nakagojiri: kiri-jiri; mekugi-ana: three; mei, katana-mei: O (osuriage) [Oshu]; Black saya.

Accompanied by a Futsu kicho ninteisho, no. 5505073, dated Showa 55 (1980), issued by the N.B.T.H.K., attributing the blade to Kanesada.
