LATE EDO PERIOD (EARLY 19TH CENTURY)
One fitted with: a pair of gold menuki in the form of Shoki and oni; a pair of shakudo nanako fuchi-kashira applied in gold, copper, silver and shakudo with the faces of Kanyu and Ryubi in high relief on the kashira, their fan and halbard similarly worked on the fuchi, signed Anryu (untraced). The other fitted with: gilt and shakudo menuki in the form of bundles of kiku; a pair of shakudo nanako fuchi-kashira decorated with half an open flower in shakudo flanking a stylized miniature motif of shakudo kiku and gold foliage, unsigned.
